Every document, fast and simple — User Guide
📂

Opening files

PDF, HWP, Word, PowerPoint, Excel, mail, Markdown and images

Formats: PDF · HWP (.hwp .hwpx) · Word (.docx) · PowerPoint (.pptx) · Excel (.xlsx .xls .ods .csv) · mail (.eml) · Markdown (.md) · images (jpg png gif bmp webp tiff). No Office or Hancom Office needed.

🔐 A password-protected PDF asks for its password when it opens. See Passwords.
🖼️ Open a picture and the rest of its folder comes with it in the page list — page through them as you would a PDF. Pick or drop several at once, or open a ZIP of pictures, and they become one document; Save as PDF puts them all in one PDF. Multi-page TIFF, transparent PNG and animated GIF show as they are.
🐘 PDFs over 500 MB open too (up to about 2 GB): only the parts in view are read, so they open quickly — view only. (desktop app)
🖥️

View modes

Switch the layout to match what you are doing
📄
Single page
Scroll one page at a time, top to bottom. The default.
📖
Two-page spread
Two pages side by side, like a book. A wide page gets a row of its own.
🗂️
Grid view
Every page at a glance. Click one to jump to it.
🎬
Fullscreen
Fill the whole screen — made for talks and presentations.
💡 Zoom: Ctrl + mouse wheel, or the + / – buttons. Fit width makes the text bigger and sharper.
🔎 Find: Ctrl+F searches the document, in every format.
🎬 Fullscreen: F5 starts from the first page, Alt+F5 from the page you are on.
📊

Word · PowerPoint · Excel

As they were written — tables, charts and pictures, without Office
📝Word
Pages break where Word breaks them, with headers, footers and bullets.
📽️PowerPoint
Slides look as they do in PowerPoint. Hidden slides are skipped in the slideshow.
📈Excel
Fonts, colours, borders, merged cells and number formats as written. Every row of a sheet with 200,000+ rows.

Word and PowerPoint get the same single · two-page · grid layouts, page counter and page list as a PDF.

🗒️Speaker notes
A deck with notes shows them in a yellow box under each slide. Toggle them with the notes button.
💬Slideshow captions
In the fullscreen slideshow the notes run along the bottom as captions. C or the corner button turns them off.
🎬Narrated video
A deck with notes saves as an MP4 with the film button: the notes read aloud, with subtitles a player can switch on and off. (desktop app)
💾 All three save as PDF with text you can still select and search.
✉️

Mail · Markdown

Messages and notes, read like documents
✉️Mail (.eml)
Sender, recipients and body, with attachments you can save or open. Korean mail (EUC-KR) comes out right.
🛡️Remote images blocked
Images from the web stay hidden until you ask, so opening a message does not tell the sender.
📝Markdown (.md)
Headings, tables, code and task lists, typeset — with a contents rail that follows your reading.
✏️Edit Markdown
Turn on the pencil at the top to edit the source. Ctrl+S saves the .md file.
💡 Mail and Markdown print, search, go fullscreen, read aloud and save as PDF too. Printed and saved as text, so they stay sharp and selectable.
🔊

Read aloud

A natural voice, reading on your PC — no internet needed

Press the 🔊 speaker button or S (or Alt+S) and the document is read from where you are, a sentence at a time. The sentence is highlighted and the view follows it.

🎙️Voice · speed
Pick one of ten voices and a speed, then Apply — the next sentence uses them.
⏮️Move around
Alt+← previous sentence, Alt+→ next, Alt+Space pause/resume. ESC while reading pauses too.
📽️Presentations
A PowerPoint deck with speaker notes is read from its notes (the script). In fullscreen the slides turn as it reads.
📷Scanned documents
Run text recognition first, and the recognized text is what gets read.
📥 The first time, you are asked before the voice (383 MB) is downloaded. After that it works offline, and nothing you read leaves the computer. (desktop app)
📄

Pages

Navigate and edit from the page list — add, delete and reorder work for PDFs and pictures
🖱️Jump to a page
Click a thumbnail in the list on the left.
↕️Reorder
Drag thumbnails up or down. (edit mode)
➕Add pages
Insert a blank page, or pages from another PDF — or, in a picture document, Add images. (edit mode)
🗑️Delete pages
Select pages and press Delete. Changed your mind? Ctrl+Z. (edit mode)
📤Save selection
Select pages, right-click → Save selection, and just those pages become a new PDF. Works in view mode too.
✅ Select several: hold Ctrl or Shift while clicking.
💡 Stamps and signatures follow their page when pages are deleted or reordered.
🔍

Text recognition (OCR)

Read the text in scans and photos — Korean and English

When the text is a picture, nothing can be copied or searched. Recognize it and you can select, copy, search and read it aloud. It runs on your device, no internet needed.

📄This page
The text recognition button, or R (or Alt+R). Or click the page four times.
📚Whole document
Whole document from the ▾ menu beside the button, or R twice. Progress is shown; you can cancel.
✂️Copy a region
Hold Ctrl and drag over an area: just that part is recognized and copied to the clipboard.
💾Keep it in the PDF
Save as PDF afterwards and the text goes into the file, searchable in any PDF reader.
💡 A PDF that already has text needs no recognition — Ctrl+F finds it straight away.
🖊️

Stamps · signatures · watermarks

Marks that stay in the file — turn on edit mode with the pencil at the top
📮Stamps
Pick a preset from the stamp button, or upload an image of your own. Each click on a page stamps it.
🗂️My stamps
An uploaded stamp is cleaned up (white background removed, margins trimmed) and kept in My stamps, at the size you last gave it.
✍️Signatures
Click the signature button, draw with mouse or touch, and place it.
🔏Watermarks
Set the text, size, colour and angle, and every page gets a translucent watermark.
📋 The same stamp on every page: select it, Ctrl+C, pick pages in the page list, Ctrl+V — it lands in the same spot on all of them.
↩️ Undo: Ctrl+Z, redo Ctrl+Y. Delete a selected stamp or signature with Delete. ESC puts the stamp tool down.
💾 Marks go into the file when you save as PDF. Opening another document or closing with unsaved marks asks first.
🔐

Passwords

Open locked PDFs, and lock or unlock when you save
🔓Opening
A locked PDF asks for its password, and asks again if it was wrong.
🔒Lock · unlock
The padlock at the top decides what the next save does. It does not save by itself — Save as PDF carries it out.
💡 A document that arrived locked is saved locked unless you unlock it with the padlock first. The file name gets _locked or _unlocked.
✏️

On-screen markup

For emphasis — never saved to the file
🖌️1 Yellow highlighter
Drag to draw in translucent yellow. Press 1 again to stop.
⬜2 Red rectangle
Drag to frame an area. Press 2 again to stop.
🧹 Clear all: press ESC or the eraser button at the top. In fullscreen, a second ESC leaves fullscreen.
🎯

Presenter tools

Emphasis tools in fullscreen — shown on screen only, never saved
✒️P Pen
Draw freely by dragging.
🖍️H Highlighter
Paint over text with a thick translucent stroke.
▭R Rectangle
Frame the area you drag over.
➤A Arrow
Point at a spot with an arrow.
🔴L Laser pointer
A red dot that follows the mouse and leaves no trace.
🔎Z Spotlight zoom
Magnify around the mouse; the wheel sets the zoom.

Change colour and width while drawing.

🎨1–5 Colour
Red · green · blue · yellow · orange.
↔️[ ] Width
[ thinner, ] thicker.
↩️Ctrl+Z · E
Remove the last stroke · erase everything.
💡 Word, mail and Markdown in fullscreen scroll a screenful at a time; + / – size the text and 0 resets it. PowerPoint opens as a slideshow.
⎋ Two-step ESC: with marks or a tool on, the first ESC clears them; the next leaves fullscreen.
💾

Saving

The save button = Save as PDF (Ctrl+S) · the ▾ menu beside it has the rest

Every format has the same three in the ▾ menu: Save original file, Save as PDF and Export as EXE. PDF, HWP and images add booklet, HTML and images.

🗎
Save original file
The file as it was opened, under another name — a deck stays .pptx, a message .eml.
📄
Save as PDF
A PDF with your stamps, signatures, watermarks and recognized text. Word, PowerPoint, Excel, mail and Markdown become PDFs whose text you can select.
📚
Save as booklet
The two-page view as a PDF, two pages per sheet — print it and fold it.
PDF · HWP · images
🌐
Save HTML
One HTML file that opens in any browser.
PDF · HWP · images
🖼️
Save images
Every page as a high-resolution PNG, in a ZIP.
PDF · HWP · images
📦
Export as EXE
A program (.exe) that carries the open document in its own format — the recipient just double-clicks it, nothing to install; a deck comes with its slideshow and notes. With stamps or signatures on it, it carries the PDF that includes them, and a locked PDF still asks for its password.
Desktop app (installed or portable)
🎬 A PowerPoint deck with notes can also be saved as a narrated video (MP4) with the film button. See Word · PowerPoint · Excel.
🖨️

Printing

What you see — stamps, signatures and watermarks included

Click Print or press Ctrl+P; a preview comes first. PowerPoint prints on slide-sized paper, Word at each page's own size, and mail and Markdown as text, so they stay sharp.
